TFCI News – Jharkhand Chamber is excited about tourism policy-2020, seeking subsidy for investors

Praising the new Tourism Policy-2020, created in the state with the aim of promoting tourism in Jharkhand, Chamber General Secretary Rahul Maru said that businessmen are excited by the plan to encourage investors in the new tourism policy.

Department should organize a workshop

It was suggested that the department should organize a workshop among the stakeholders in the Chamber building for information about the provisions for giving incentives including subsidies to investors in the Tourism Policy-2020 so that more entrepreneurs can become aware of the policy.

The chamber’s tourism sub-committee chairman Shailesh Aggarwal suggested that a separate law for the registration of tourist vehicles be made in the state and that those vehicles should not be acquired for any official purpose. It is also said that many old Havelis are established in the state, which can be converted into hotels on the lines of Rajasthan.

Tourism department needs to make effective efforts

Tourism department needs to make effective efforts in this direction. Similarly, in the property of the tourism department such as hotels or tourist facilities etc., which are given on lease, the local stakeholders of the state should be given priority. It also said that the business and entrepreneurial society of the state can play an important role in the tourism development of the state. In such a situation, the State Advisory Committee should be constituted by the Tourism Department with the representation of Federation Chamber.

The Managing Director assured due consideration to all the points suggested by the Chamber. He also agreed to the proposal of the Chamber to start direct air service (one day in and out) from Birsa Munda Airport to Baba Baidyanath dham Darshan and said that this service was started earlier by the Chamber and Tourism Department.

Action will be taken in the direction of doing. The Chamber said that with the commencement of this service, a large number of people will be able to travel to Deoghar easily.
