Uttarakhand Tourism Minister Shri Satpal Maharaj has urged the Central Government to make wide publicity of the tourist destinations of Uttarakhand and improve the system of connectivity, telecommunication and internet etc. in remote areas of the state.

In a virtual meeting with tourism ministers of all the states chaired by Union Tourism and Culture Minister Prahlad Patel, Shri Satpal Maharaj also discussed the measures being taken to revive tourism in the state.
This video conference was called by the Union Tourism Ministry to consider further strategies to bring tourism back on track after the Corona transition. The Tourism Ministers of all the states participated in the meeting and gave their views on the future strategy to make up for the loss of tourism during the Corona period. Tourism Minister Shri Satpal Maharaj said that the Central Government should also spread the tourism spots of Uttarakhand widely. He said that the iconic site of Uttarakhand in which the Navagraha circuit has been built should also be widely publicized, this will benefit Uttarakhand. There is a large forest dominated area inside the state, so there is a huge potential for eco-tourism here.
Therefore, if the Union Forest Ministry and the Ministry of Tourism hold a seminar, it will make it possible to track the snow-clad peaks of the state, they will also become new standards, they can be used without damage to the Bugyalas. If it becomes possible, it will be a big achievement for the state.
During video conferencing, Shri Satpal Maharaj said that people still have religious faith in the Bugyalas of Uttarakhand. Commercial activities have been stopped, but people who come there to worship Aanchari, fairies and deities. All this is still valid under religious belief. Referring to the divine circuit, Shri Satpal Maharaj said that there are places in Garhwal and Kumaon region of Uttarakhand where people can worship and worship Bhagwati.
He informed that in the coming time, the tourism department of the state is going to build a circuit where Shakta and Vaishno. At the same time, we are also promoting Himalayan immunity boosting food. Mr. Satpal Maharaj told during the webinar that his government has prepared menus for Himalayan immunity boosting food in all categories of hotels, now everyone can enjoy Garhwali and Kumaoni food in these hotels. He said that people can come here and enjoy river rafting as well as before.
