TFCI News: Gorakhpur to become the hub of tourism and eco-tourism, preparations for International Bird Festival

State Forest and Animal Horticulture Minister Dara Singh Chauhan said that Gorakhpur is going to be a much better option in terms of tourism and eco-tourism. Shaheed Ashfaq Ulla Khaw Zoological Park will be established in the new year and after Ramgarh lake has been declared as the first notified wetland of the state, it will be established not only at the national as well as international level.

Keeping this in mind, the International Bird Festival will be organized in Gorakhpur in February. In this, international level tourists will come here for Gorakhpur lake and bird watching. Forest Department officials have been instructed to materialize this event.

On Saturday, the Forest Minister was addressing the honor ceremony organized by Rotary Club Gorakhpur at Annexe Bhavan. He said that history was created by planting 25 crore saplings in one day this year under the leadership of state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for environmental protection. Next year, by planting 30 crore saplings in one day, we will work to break our own record. But its success will not be achieved without public cooperation. The plantation is most important for environmental protection.

The Forest Minister invited the citizens of Gorakhpur to visit Dudhwa, Katarniaghat, Chuka Tiger Reserve for tiger sighting. He also emphasized the branding of Eco-Tourism.
